OPEN AIR DINING IN THE COURTYARD  We’re foodies, but not in a pretentious way: our goal is to serve the best breakfast, lunch and dinner on St. John.  Our restaurant has something for everyone, an eclectic mix of classics and originals, vegetarian and gluten free items are noted, and all is prepared with care.  Seat yourself at any of our beautiful marble tables beneath shady green umbrellas, or join us for a cocktail at the Gecko Gazebo Bar, overlooking the center courtyard of Mongooose Junction, surrounded by lush terraces, cozy shops and galleries.

NO RESERVATIONS, NO PROBLEM! While we have just ten tables in our restaurant cattered about in the courtyard, we always seem to find a way to accommodate guests as they arrive, and if there is a minimal wait, you can browse the surrounding shops and galleries.  For parties of 10 or more, please email a request a day ahead of Call 340 693-8340

VISIT MONGOOSE JUNCTION  St. John’s premiere shopping and dining destination and the second most visited attraction on the island after the national park. The design of the complex was inspired by the Danish plantations of the 1800s and incorporates local stone, brick, and coral in the stonework. It's landscaped with lush tropical plants and terraces, with lots of places to relax, enjoy and explore. Mongoose Junction restaurants are among the best on St. John and there are more than 20 shops and galleries and more. Free parking for guests around the back for easiest access to the cafe.

Our restaurant is a Travel & Leisure pick for St. John by the New York Times,  who said “A Remarkable Menu for a Kitchen the Size of a Volkswagon Beetle” in their review. To which we say: "Small is Beautiful" and it sure does keep the food fresh.

We were elected into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame in 2018, denoting 5 consecutive years of excellence.  The Travelers Choice award recognizes the top 10% of restaurants, nationwide, and we are grateful for this distinction and appreciate the over 1000 people who have taken the time to write a review.  It's a great way to let us know how we are doing.

Best Happy Hour on St. John

The Gecko Gazebo Bar

Our Bar, the Gecko Gazebo Bar has a life of it's own, and where locals and island guests can get to know each other. Overlooking the Center Courtyard of Mongoose Junction, it's the perfect people watching perch, and a great place to relax from a strenuous day of vacationing.
